Lee's new progressive press

Post by horseman »

Saw a photo of Lee's new progressive reloading press. Not sure where the fellow found the picture (said "declassified, 2018) but it is a Lee for sure. Whether or not it is actually coming or not it didn't say. No turret, solid head with breech locks, ala Hornady. 4 stations, new style base but small picture so couldn't really make out many details. It's called something on the order of Breech lock auto Pro. It looks really good....

It would appear to me the press is going to prime just like the classic turret using the safety prime and the same primer arm. That's probably a good thing considering. The case feeder setup "looks" to be a little more stable in the way it attaches, at least it looks that way to me. Counter clockwise rotation and is it just me but does that shell plate look really ? thin ?...must just be the picture. (? :? ) Priced right I'll buy one......looks pretty cool to me.

The MSRP listed is $150 without a shell plate. Hopefully it is actually available soon. Glad I did not buy a second press yet now. Yee haa!

O.K., I'll wager there will be a "full" caliber setup available (eventually) dies, auto drum, safety prime and case feed for near the same price as the Pro 1000. And Lee will sell a bazillion of them....yep..

It is priced $25 more than the Value Turret so that alone will make a sale and probably kill the older turret. To me, all the red inside the frame looks synthetic; plastic, nylon, etc. I would want to know what that is made of.

I'm sure it will sell, but what I meant with my comment is that I won't "retool" even if they quit making the Load-Master.

Announcing a new concept in automatic reloading presses. A true progressive press for less than the cost of a premium single stage press. Order a set of Lee dies and a shell plate, and you have everything you need to start reloading.

Easy to use with no adjustments.
Modular construction allows as much or as little automation as the operator desires with no adjustments.
Cartridge changeover in seconds, including primer size with no adjustments.
Breech Lock quick change feature in all four positions with no adjustments.
Exclusive auto case placer with no adjustments.
Through ram primer disposal with convenient built-in primer disposal tube.
Includes four breech lock bushings.
Includes large and small priming arms.
Includes ergonomic, wood grip roller handle. Others charge nearly $50.00 for this comfort feature.
Includes hex wrenches for caliber changes with built in storage rack for tools. Others charge nearly $30.00 for the tools and storage rack alone!

User has to make initial die adjustment into the Breech Lock bushings. Once set, the Breech Lock system allows for instant change.

NOTE: Shell plate is required to use this press, SOLD SEPARATELY.

From titan reloading, they are also taking preorders for this new press.
