Any Idea What These Parts Belong To?
I have quite a spare parts box for my Load-Masters, stuff collected over the years. I just finished sorting and labeling everything I have, I do have three holdouts that I cannot identify and there is a chance that they don't belong to the LM.
The two on the left are identical and look like the crank on the bullet slider but are too thick and two long. Way too long for the crank on the case slider. The wire on the left is very thin. Seems to me that it might have been part of the primer feed tray assembly when these were first introduced.

The two larger ones look like parts to a Pro 1000, not sure about the small one. ahh, on second thought the small wire I believe goes across the top of the round primer lid and held it in place. Lee put something like that out on the first versions of the primer system.

You're right about the small wire, I could remember needing it on the primer.Horseman wrote:The two larger ones look like parts to a Pro 1000, not sure about the small one. ahh, on second thought the small wire I believe goes across the top of the round primer lid and held it in place. Anyone need the two cranks for the Pro 1000?

Re: Any Idea What These Parts Belong To?
I think he meant it was obvious that the parts belong to whatever they fell off.
I knew a gentleman that owned a Staggerwing Beechcraft . A beautiful airplane , fluid lines, radial engine , room for 5 adults in 69 Cadillac seating . Anyway he had a tarp always paid out under it in the hanger . When asked about the tarp he said it was so he would know where parts came from when they fell off . It was said in half jest but in truth it seemed like there was always nuts ,bolts and screws on the tarp but few if any missing .

If the two large cranks don't fit into the hole on the LM case feeder, they also won't fit in the holes on the pro1000 case feeder, since this is the same part. When you buy a case feeder separately, you only get one crank, that would fit both presses.

Didn't think about that so these don't fit either of Lee's progressives.Fyodor wrote:If the two large cranks don't fit into the hole on the LM case feeder, they also won't fit in the holes on the pro1000 case feeder, since this is the same part. Re: Any Idea What These Parts Belong To?
Well you have me confused as well now . I have the exact same looking "rod" (two large ones in your pic.) in my "extra" parts box, looks the same (uneven length on the ends), same overall length, the thickness measured on the one I have is .124 measured with a caliper. The one I have is a case feeder rod for the LM.

Re: Any Idea What These Parts Belong To?
The action rods on the case feeders actually do have different lengths tabs. So this remarkably looks like an action rod for a LEE progressive case feeder. If it ended up in the LEE spare parts box, maybe it is an old design? I can't compare, but maybe they changed the hole size at some point?
