Took it apart last night after reading your post, the underside was scored. I think part of it was like that when I got it. Looking at the bottom, it looked like the edge around the hole was not flat. My can of lapping compound is at a buddy's so I made due with what was on hand. After an hour with some wet and dry on a flat surface, I think I am close to having it flat.
Looking at the bottom of all of the disks, there is a bright shiny area next to the pins on one side. With the hopper off, I still had .004 clearance under the disk no matter how hard I pressed down. The disks ride on the ridges on either side of raised center area. This makes sense as it would reduce drag on the disks on the center section. I think my next step is reducing the clearance down to .002 or less.
Looking at H110 and MP-300 under a "pocket microscope", they appear to be very similar so I think I will forgo the testing of H110.
So for the time being I won't be using it with anything smaller than HP-38 and Bullseye.
