Took it apart last night after reading your post, the underside was scored. I think part of it was like that when I got it. Looking at the bottom, it looked like the edge around the hole was not flat. My can of lapping compound is at a buddy's so I made due with what was on hand. After an hour with some wet and dry on a flat surface, I think I am close to having it flat.

Looking at the bottom of all of the disks, there is a bright shiny area next to the pins on one side. With the hopper off, I still had .004 clearance under the disk no matter how hard I pressed down. The disks ride on the ridges on either side of raised center area. This makes sense as it would reduce drag on the disks on the center section. I think my next step is reducing the clearance down to .002 or less.

Looking at H110 and MP-300 under a "pocket microscope", they appear to be very similar so I think I will forgo the testing of H110.

So for the time being I won't be using it with anything smaller than HP-38 and Bullseye.

Glad you caught the etching as it only gets worse. Of course, replacement hoppers are cheap.

Took a flat file to the center portion of the base. Flat filed it til the section from the drop hole to the space that the disk fills was clear, that was quite a bit more than I anticipated. Wish I had measured it before I started, I think I did take out a bit of material. There was quite a dip in the area just behind the drop hole. After I filed it, I took a fresh piece of wet and dry and polished it using a 123 block. I didn't have to take any more off the sides that hold the hopper up. I cleaned it, reassembled it and tried it out with MP-300. I was able to finish my tests with MP-300 and then I ran the two larger disks (these were the ones that I had issues with) through with H110, very little leakage. I think I had the most "leakage" from the front where the drop tube is from static catching a few kernels out of the top of the first few cycles. Once that area was "full" very little would get pulled off the top of the following cycles.
One thing to say about the smaller powders like Bullseye, HP-38 and smaller, very consistent drops. Generally the first throws are a tenth heavy and then they just run. Even the courser grains seemed to run consistently.
Next powder up for it is 700-X and then I think my testing is done.

I recently bought several powders that I have not seen on local shelves for more than a decade, Red Dot, Green Dot and 2400. I bought a pound of each and I am continuing my testing of the Auto Disk.

So GRV01 Here are 2 pages that I have done so far.

Now these are my own results for my particular Auto Disk with the powders that I have. YMMV

The powders on the next sheet are 700-X, Red Dot, Green Dot and 2400.
