The Deluxe Powder Measure needs a funnel

With the wide opening, this powder measure needs a screw on funnel adapter to reduce the diameter of the drop tube. For instance, when dropping a charge in the Safety Scale pan, part of it will splash out unless absolute contact is made between the pan a measure. The hanger on the pan makes that a bit tough.

I'm thinking a 3D printed short funnel would be perfect.

I know this is an old post but hoping you perused this 3D funnel? Powder splashing is a real problem and a PIA besides! It doesn't matter what scale pan you use. I really like the RCBS pan with a funnel on the side but it doesn't completely solve the splashing. I tuned my 505 to balance/zero with that scale pan.

With my PPM I drop into a 30-06 case and then into pan from the case. I got tired of cleaning up spilled powder. I can trickle from the case too but it is easier with the trickler. I don't load larger then 30-06 so it isn't a problem for me.

Regardless which measure I use it's either a 45-70 case or the case of the moment.

Make smoke,

I thought RD gave up on 3D printing. Excuse me if I made that up.

Yep, gave up on the 3D printer. Gave the printer and the spools to a couple of kids.

I use a 45-70 Govt case to dump the powder in and then drop it where it is needed. Problem fixed as you cannot drop from this measure into a pan without it going everywhere.

Yep dispensing directly into the case then to the pan is the only method that works for me too.

Surely one you DIY brain gifted types can figure out some hardware store parts fix.

For one of my powder measures, (I can't remember which one right now and I'm in the house away from my reloading stuff) I was able to cut the head off a ,223 case and insert it in place of the "drop tube". But I just "trained" myself to hold the pan against the powder measure (no spilling and I get a nice little pile of powder in the center of the pan. Sometimes I see a difference on my digital scale if the powder is off center in the pan). Easiest remedy for me... ;)

Can the 'Deluxe' model be used with the 90273 Universal Charging Die?

How is the accuracy vs the PPM?
