I like the Lee 358-125-RF. I use it in 9mm, 38, 357 mag and 357max.
I powder coat or HI-Tek coat them.

I use 358-105-SWC in my S&W 38SPL and put 3.0-3.2 grn of Bullseye behind it.
Have a really nice groupings at 10 yards.
With this small bullet and low powder load, you can go thru 100 rounds using a small revolver and not feel pain in wrist from recoil. With large bullets (158-2R) with larger powder load, I'd have enough after about 50-75 rounds.
For paper targets I would suggest either the WC or SWC profiles - makes a big difference on the shape of impact hole on the target.

Same as jloader for me also, all my specials & .357's used to love that
little SWC, & a multitude of powders all worked very well.
Not counting jacketed, as long as fit & lube are top shelf, it's pretty
darn tough to screw up a 38 Spec load. From little button nose wad cutters
to 158 / 160 grain giants, the tried & true spec likes 'm all...

Me too. I got a 6 hole mold and cast them mebbe 15 lbs at a time. For my 9mm I size to .357" and lube with Carnauba Red. For my .38s I size to .358" and use any lube I have on hand (often my home made Speed Green). For my .357 I usually size to .358"+ (I have a "custom" Lee sizing die that's about .3585" to .3589" depending on alloy) and lube with either Carnauba Red or 2500 from White Label Lubes. http://www.lsstuff.com/

I've PCed some but I can't determine if the results are better enough for the extra "work"...

158 isn't giant, it's original spec. I'd suggest the cheap two cavity 158 SWC with real lube grooves and put a good amount (over 4gr) of Bullseye or more (over 5gr) of Unique.

I have both the 358-125 and the 358-158 RNFP for 9 mm ,38,357 ,I may even run the 125 in the 358 Win .

Unique gets 3.9 in 9mm with 125 , 4.5 in 38 and 5.5 in 357 for the 158s .
