Lee lube will mix with water, but it won't mix with alcohol. So you need enough water in the mixture to dissolve it. My failure when I first tried that was to buy 99% alcohol instead of the cheap 70%. But when i added water to the mixture it worked great.

I had to shake the Lee lube alcohol mix very vigoursly the first time but just a little with each subsequent use.
