The one thing I discovered making my own cases was the case head maybe brass but it's hard brass and you need a real good grip on the case when you start the tap. I went a little larger on the drill and that helped. The thread wind up a little shallow but there's no real load on them. So far I've made ones for the 40-65, 6.5x55 and 8x57. I need to make one for the 7.5x55.
