Re: Henry 45
I killed hogs fine up to 165# and 50 yd with 8.5 Unique under a Lee 452-252 I wanted more authority so I paper patched a 430426 (it dropped at .448) Keith style SWC at 257gr accuracy was good and it would pull 1350 over 19.0 H110. I aquired a 454424 (also a Keith style bullet but with a shorter nose) that I loaded naked over the same load it gave 1320 . Hogdon gives this as a Ruger/Contender only load under 25,000 psi. Although I didn't get to whack a hog with it I think it would do the job fine within the ranges suited to the cartridge.
Just a Red neck,White boy, Blue blood American.....

Re: Henry 45
I have to correct myself. This Henry is 223, or 243, or 308.
I like the rifle more every time I look at it, probably 223 with a good varmint scope.
With 6 lugs locking up the bolt I would expect good accuracy.
