I'll chime in and agree with OP. This is a great chrono for the money, and the Android interface works really well. I also really like being able to reference load data anytime I have my phone with me. Until I can swing a Magneto Speed, this is a keeper!

After using the CED for over a decade, the Caldwell unit seemed a bit "cheap" but the fact remains that mine has not missed a shot. As soon as I get done messing with the stuff behind these forums, it has a lot of work to do!

I'm too much of a chicken to shoot at a target while using a chrono. I was waiting for a guy to finish using the range's rental and later he found me and had the grace to inform me that chrono had gone to a better place. The range informed me that happens two or three times a year.

The only time I've had that happen is when I've done it intentionally.

lining my chrony up between the bench/shooting position and a target board at 25 yards seems to give me more confidence that I won't "shoot it's eye out"

I gas checked the 1st 1 I bought . I built a lightweight shield to keep tings from bouncing off the unit . Since most of what I shoot is scoped so I just keep the couplings shined up on the sky screens and put the short sections on top and keep the horizontal above the couplings . So far so good .
