What are you shooting 62Chevy? Good to see you getting some practice in. I went to the range this morning but got ran out by gnats, those things are just teeth with wings. Only shot 25 rounds.

Ops my bad! It was a 45 acp High point at 25 foot. The ammo was a Lee 452-200-RF with 4.6 grains of Bullseye. Tried it a couple of weeks ago at 25 yards and every thing went high and to the left about 3 inches. This time I tried a new hold to help steady the gun and it worked.

4.6 grains is max and it has a good kick even with that heavy gun so want to back it down to a point were it cycles the slide reliable but not make my hand hurt. 4 grains works but still has some kick thinking of working down to 3.5 grains.

I like hearing people say they are improving. The target does indicate grip changing. You are probably on the right path. Good luck and happy shooting.

I now many laughg at hipoints but chris harben my ccw instructor has one many comps with his befire being sponsered by springfield for the xd line. He is not famous but did get alot of goodies during that time. I havent talked to him in a good while so may no longer be. They work and have very good customer support. As witg anything to be good one must know the ins and outs in various conditions.

There have been quiet a few people in my carry classes bring High Points and they usually function ok, my only draw back is the capacity, but it's still more than a revolver and for most people it's faster to reload than a revolver. Most of them want to just keep them in their home or in the truck. I encourage those people to add a smaller handgun that they can keep on their person.

We have one at the range for testing reloads and I can shoot it very acurately, but all I shoot are double action pistols. Those that only shoot 1911s can't shoot it very well because of the triger.

I've shot with fellows at Front Sight. Thats a bit more of an endurance test than the average range session and they completed the course without issue.
