Re: Wrong Ammo

Post by myloadm65 »

This is nothing to do with this revolver, but has to do with "factory" ammo. I have a 45acp barrel that came from a colt 1911 that has a bullet stuck about 2/3 down the barrel. I replaced the barrel so that
I would have the old barrel to show to Winchester as the ammo was Winchester white box. I guess is
that the only purpose is that factory ammo can be wrong too. And I have also found 270 ammo in a box
of 30-06 factory while at a gun store. People do take it out of the box and can inadvertently put it back in the wrong box. We see this frequently with our ammo at gunshows where people want to compare, and they wonder why we get "grouchy" when we ask them not to open the boxes.

Me thinks it more than likely had a round with a "high" primer that detonated from recoil of a previously fired round.?????????
