NOE Gas Check Expanders

Post by Ranch Dog »

I must not be shopping like I used to as these neat little tools slipped past me. There are individual "rams" that slip in shell holder slot on the press ram and a die (threaded plug).

NOE Gas Check Expanders

Found them through a Google search for Lyman flat nose punches, NOE has those as well.

The NOE Gas Check Expander and Rams are working as advertised. Put them to use right away with my 32 Win Spl & TLC323-180-RF. Shank on this bullet is casting at gas check spec, but the checks are slightly small. Several years ago I annealed the GCs to try to get them on and gave up; they are a great fit so now I can get the Marlin 336RC back in service.
