Just picked up a 20 Ga. shotshell kit. I seems to be in great condition. The rammer appears to be out of some sort of plastic instead of steel like some of the older kits that I have seen. Date on the charge card is 1972. Plan on using Hercules Unique with it so I am going to have to change out the dipper from the 129 to the 108. That looks like it should give about 16 grains or so of Unique. Should load up a couple with Hercules Unique and compare it to Alliant's Unique and see if there is a noticeable difference. The shot dipper is pretty cool as it is adjustable, 7/8 of an ounce up to 1 3/4 of an ounce.
Didn't find it on eBay, found it through another website that is the local trading post around here. I have picked up powder, primers, bullets and even found a whole Lee reloading kit for a friend on it. No shipping, all of the deals are person to person.
Now to see if I can find one in 410.

Way to go. Love my two 20s, and of late, my 20 guage double barrel muzzle loader.

Good deal!
Ahhh, one of the Holy Gails of Lee Loaders. It and the 3" 12 Guage are tough on the pocket. Check this fools offering: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Lee-Loa ... SwceNZTvamcj8281 wrote:Now to see if I can find one in 410.

Re: 20 Ga. Shotshell
Holy Cow and $50 canadian shipping on top of that. I think I can live with the adjustable shot scoop. A pair of MEC crimp starters are cheap and I imagine they work just fine hand held.
Now my wife is concerned, I just found a 12 ga as a suggested item on that listing.
Been tempted to buy one of the Lee Shotshell loaders and seeing how hard it would be to modify it to 410.... anyone try that??

Re: 20 Ga. Shotshell
Glad you found a good 20 gauge. There is a .410 right now on Ebay but the bidding is something like $88.00 with 3 days to go. It is one of the very early ones in excellent condition. Whoever wins it will have to have deep, deep pockets. I am watching it but it is already out of my range. The last one I saw go off the board there went for something like $150.00 if I remember correctly. james
