Henry Long-Ranger

Post by Steve »

Another new Henry. I'm going to watch this one closely, I don't have a 308.

It is a very nice looking rifle. Henry is doing a great job with their expanding product line.

It's an ugly duckling with that barrel, half lever half bolt action and no iron sights.

I think it is Henrys own design. Intended to have a scope mounted.

I think there is no doubt that the curb appeal is BLR but until there is a parts diagram it will be hard to tell if it is BLR or not.

I would have thought the butt stock comb would have needed to be a bit straighter, more horizontal if not completely horizontal, for scope use.

Agreed. Ugly, expensive, and no point IMO.

But what other lever action can you get a 30-06 in?

You can get one in 45/70 what more does one need but still it would be cool if it didn't have that bolt action barrel on it. But having a lever gun in 223/556, 243 and 308 would be nice I just want it to have the traditional looks of a lever gun.

I don't know. I don't want one and to me a lever gun should be tube fed. You know what people say about opinions. Plus it's expensive (by my standards).
