Great to hear how an old warhorse is still shooting!

Nice thread, Michael. I have a soft spot for Lee-Enfields and have a Lee-Metford project rifle in the queue -- to be rebored to .375 NE 2 1/2 flanged. A friend in New Zealand built beautiful stocks for it. It just needs the barrel work and a metal refinish and it will be a .38-55 on steroids, looking a bit "Lee Speedish." Boy I'd love a source for well-made and affordable five-round magazines!

Thanks, Bill. Yeah, I would like to find a 5 round magazine as well.

I found five-round, new magazines in the UK but they have been out of stock for awhile. I'm signed up for a back in stock notification but decided to email them to ask if they had been discontinued.

RifleMags.co.uk replied that they are expecting them soon. With the currency exchange and less the VAT, they will be $44 each plus shipping. I don't think that is bad. I've seen a couple of 5-round mags sold on the auction sites, and they all go for at least $50 plus shipping. They have all been beaten to hell, and I would not pay ten bucks for them.

It looks like a stealth assassin compared to some of your rifles. It looks serious. In a great way
