Win M94 Timber Scout, 44 Mag, TLC432-275-RF, & H110

Post by Ranch Dog »

Decided to start using up the supply of H110 so I'm moving all my short, straight walled cartridges from Lil' Gun to that powder until it is consumed. Used QuickLoad to calculate a 40.0K PSI for the Timber Carbine and my TLC432-275-RF at the usually long cartridge overall length (1.689"), for the 44 Mag, that sets the bullet .005" off ogive to throat contact.

Not much work into figuring out if it good or not. Went straight to 100 yards, first five shots.

1885 FPS. I took it hunting yesterday evening and as I head to the back, I always go past my range where I will sling one at a steel target no matter what I'm carrying. Rang the gong at 100 yards.

That should work well.

I've used a lot of 296-H110 and have found that 99% case fill, non mag primer along with good neck tension to be a good combo. +guns
