When margins get tight or the demand for dividends and profits driven by predatory investors becomes damaging then quality suffers big time. It seems a recurring theme.

Sounds to me like they throw them on a CNC lathe and don't verify the set up. Chambers should be done one at time, hands on with a competent gun smith not a button pusher.

That's exactly what I think is going on. I think my older rifles pre-date the CNC lathe and single point chamber cutting.
