Can you load up on other items that you might need to average out the shipping cost?

I tried to, but there was nothing I needed. So I bought three springs to reduce shipping per item. That way I can either try three times, or sell two :D

Fyodor, if you can't get your 1897 tuned for Wild Bunch competition, you may want to look for a Winchester Model 12. I think they changed the rules around 2013 to allow Model 12s along with 1897s and clones in Wild Bunch competitions.

I haven't competed in Wild Bunch or any other Cowboy Action Shooting activities for that matter, but it sure looks interesting :-)

I have a few 1911 pistols, but still need approved shotgun, lever action rifle and period specific costume if I'm to join in.

No, the German rules only allow the model 1897. The last modifications to the rules was applied for at the administration office in 2006, and permission was granted 2015... since our shooting sports rule books need to be accepted by the government things like that take "a bit longer "
