Well it is true. The most recent purchase was the FA Hand deprimer. I really do like it. I just picked up about 300 crimped 223R at a desert BLM site just sitting there on the ground. Got luckily and beat all the other scroungers. 8-) This FA tool did the job fast. I had wrapped the handle and "trigger" with tennis handle cushioning tape wrap which made it easier on these old hands of mine. So far I've decapped well over 2000 cases with it. Like I said I really like this tool.

I hope someone here post a new innovative reloading gadget before Christmas so I can ask " Santa" . He and I have a lot in common in appearance. ;) And since I became a dad I've been doing his job for a long time.

I need a deprime tool for the range. What's the case size range on it? I need to do 40-65 and 45-70 cases.

It is supposed to handle brass from .20 cal all the way up to .338 lapua.

I didn't think I needed a thing. Well, I bought some jacketed bullets for my 303 British SMLE. Kind of giving up on cast bullets right now with that cartridge. I bought 300 Speer 180 RNSP bullets and 300 Priv Partizan 180 grain SPBTs . All that was less than another revision to my mold and will last me years.

So I've been thinking I'm doing good, not spending a lot of money at this. Well I have a couple of searches set on Gunbroker, you know where this is going, using the advanced searches to set up what I consider good deals. Don't get many pings on the various stuff although the gun buying by others seems to have really slowed since election day. Anyway I'm out on my tractor and "ping", I get a search return for a Savage 11 Scout with 30 minutes remaining. I ponder it while I do a little more work and then bid on it. So, my Savage 11 Scout has already shipped, $540 out the door. Best price I could find in South Texas was $720!

Merry Christmas Ranch Dog!

Im hoping Santa brings me a barrel to finish the CVA Hawken stock and lock that my father had in his garage collecting dust for the past 20 years. I don't know anything about it other than I saw my old man trying to repair the broken trigger guard at least a decade ago. I don't think he was ever able to find a barrel, and to my knowledge there's only one place on the internet now that sells them.... Dear Santa make it a 54 cal!!!
