All you that have served and are serving.. Thank you for being willing to give up your time, comforts and possibly far more for me and my loved ones ! You have my respect and I am pleased to have you as my Brothers and Sisters in Arms.

Thanks Mike! I don't go to town much but I had a bunch of errands to run. I've never seen so many flags set out along the roads that I traveled and It was really good seeing all the honor paid to those who have served our country. This wasn't don't by the County or City but by individuals and businesses.

Quite different from you & I given your service dates. When I got out I was so busy working & going to school full time that I just wanted to be past my military service. Luckily & fairly quick, I had a VA Man at the college who was in charge of my finances and who helped me see who I was and what I already accomplished compared to my contemporaries in school.

I was 22 when I joined the Coast Guard in 1975 and stayed till 1995.

Thanx to all as well! My dates were '86-'97. And not once in harm's way during that time, not for lack of trying... I was very lucky.
