Had a first today!
Today was the first time Ive ever had someone over to teach them how to make ammo. I work with a guy who has a 300 Weatherby he won in a raffle. Im sure you know, the cost of feeding something like that gets to be a real kick in the pants. So over the last few weeks i had him read the Nosler 6th and Hornady 9th reloading manuals, and today we got to sit down at my bench to turn 20 empties back into a ladder test. For the most part we stuck with the equipment you get from the Lee single stage package that I started with a decade ago, and still use for all my rifle cartridges now. It seemed like he was impressed at how simple the process really is once he saw it in motion, and I could explain why you do what you do. Hopefully next week the weather will cooperate, and we'll get to see what those rounds are doing with my chronograph.

Always great to be a teacher/coach/mentor - and to see the student have a 'gee whiz' and realize that it is not all that hard/not rocket science once you understand the basics! Kudos to you!

Teaching has always been the best way to learn how to do something.

Thanks for sharing the craft Cyrus! I too agree with 62 had to say, when you have to verbalize and demonstrate a task, you start to really learn yourself.
