I do recall, many moons ago when +p was the newest rage, the Smith I was working
under got loads & loads of revolvers damaged (shot loose) &/or tweaked from a steady
diet of +p. But that was before the advent of +p rated revolvers. Hey, just my 2 cents.
I find this +P and +P+ stuff interesting. My Ruger SR9 say's it's ++ rated, whatever that means. I haven't found ANY load data that says +P or +P+. Are you supposed to just interpolate data as in if 6gr. HS6 is a max load for 115gr 9mm at 35,000psi (this is just a for instance fella's, not REAL DATA) Then 6.5gr would/could be a +P load at, oh say, 36,000psi and on and on. Well you get my drift. I'm not looking to go there and all it really tell's me is that the gun is/should be strong enough to handle a (regular) max load without issue. Actually, not even sure it tells me that either. But it makes a good selling point I guess. Just what the hE!! does it mean.
