The original poster seemed to be posting from the UK and last I saw, .45ACP firearms were few and far between there, so I was curious what they were reloading for.Ranch Dog wrote:Herne wrote:I'm a little curious, what is availaibly in .45acp on Section 1? Unless it's a section 5
Don't understand what you are asking.

Re: When Did The Lee Loader Boxes Change Styles?
My apologies for the late reply Herne, I load for a Peter Sarony, Armalon converted, No 4 Enfield carbine. There are quite a few in my club shooting converted 45acp Enfields of one type or another, mine is the lower arm in the pic.

Well on evilBay (eBay) right now there is a Lee loader for 30 carbine that is the old paper box that has the scoop size 065 listed on the powder chart with the copyright date of 1976 on the card. It also has the old logo and not Lee Precision that is on the newer ones. Also the newer ones use the cc scoops and the older ones use the cu in scoops.

Wow, a De-Lisle carbine! The owner can be quite lucky, only a few hundert have been made.

Also just noticed that your 45acp has a copy right date of 1979 in the lower left corner and your 303 has the copy right date of 1993. I just bought a 243 Lee Loader that has the charge cards dated 1977, it is still the older style card board box with the Styrofoam insert and the old Lee logo.

I never noticed the dates on there cj8281. I have since picked up another loader in 8mm mauser dated 1978, it's in the red plastic box and looks as if it's never been used.
Re the "deLisle" carbine in my earlier post, it is a replica built my local dealer some years ago. He has since had another 3 built more true to the original weapon.
