Two Bullets but Which Molds
I lucked into about 200 of hundred of each of these going through the junk in my local GS store. He gave them to me for free when I bought a couple of boxes of primers. They are old but clean and the lube is still good. They seem to be as hard as my water quenched cast based upon my scratch test which is admittedly not that accurate. Both are 311-312 diameter. They have also been tumble lubed for some reason.
The larger averages 186 grains and I am pretty sure I have found it to be a Lee mold for the 303B.
The other averages 160 but I haven't been able to identify it. Any suggestions? I am thinking one or both of these might be worth buying to provide fodder for the 303 and as the core for paper patched in the 8mm Mauser.

I don't think the bullet on the left is the Lee design with the 1R nose. Your bullet has a true round nose, picture a .311" ~ .312" ball meeting the greater diameter of the bullet. I like the look of your bullet better.

Lyman 312299 maybe I'll look might be a 312291 I have the 291 ..... They're cut 310,311,312,313 and 314 I think , maybe even .316 .
The other looks like poor fill out on a lovern design but there's so many of those I couldn't even try to guess . There are several pages available with most of Lymans designs depicted .
It could be a Cramer too .

Google "Ben's Liquid Lube," it's a very good Alox mix. I've started running my pistol bullets through my lube sizer because I'm using the bullet feeders on my Load Masters, but I use stick alox from White Label Lubes.

Re: Two Bullets but Which Molds
GG, does the alox coating of regular lubed bullets keep the lube dry for extended storage? Sometimes I'll cast, size, and lube a bunch but not use them for quite a while, depending on what I'm shooting it may be a couple years before I get to them (I have some excellent RD 265 gr, 44 cal bullets lubed with Speed Green that I boxed up 4 years ago and the lube may be getting dry)...

I thought the information offered on Ben's Liquid Lube deserved a standalone topic so it could be referenced in the future, so it has been split out here: Ben's LL Recipe with Lundmark Substitute
