Hi,
After about 3000 combined 9mm & 45acp reloads I am preparing to venture into 357sig reloading. So I got a couple hundred cases. And bought the Lee 357sig die set of course. Well, the other day I started decapping. After only about 50 cases the tip of the pin broke off. Any thoughts or just luck of the draw ?
Anything peculiar to the sig cartridge?

Re: Decapping pin
I've not had that problem, but my 357Sig dies aren't Lee. I've probably loaded a few hundred both purchased once fired and my own along with a 1oo new cases and haven't noted any trouble with the flash hole.
Like most all auto cartridges it head spaces on the case mouth so a taper crimp is needed. I've shot jacketed and plated but not straight cast. Lightest was 90 grains and heaviest so far has been 115 grains.
Pistol is an H&K P200K and this reminds me I need to give it some play time.
Make smoke,

Re: Decapping pin
I broke one in a 308 too . Just the luck . I turned one in the drill press and put in a set screw for a replaceable straight pin .
