Anyone seal the ammo for long term use??

I am thinking about sealing ammo in my kitchen vacuum sealer. I am experimenting with the cartridges loose in a bag and sealing an intact box of ammo in a bag. Looks pretty neat and should last a long time. Hoping to keep the humidity from affecting the brass or nickel. Probably should just shoot more often so I didn't worry about the humidity.

Ammo cans and desicate packs have been working for me so far . I always lived in the desert where it wasn't a thought , been struggling a little here in the soggy south .

I use "Markron" sealer to seal the bullet and primers on cartridges for long term storage. It looks a lot like "finger nail polish", which would probably work just as well (you might want to check with the wife before making a "five finger" transfer to your reloading bench!). I suppose vacuum bags would also work; they seem to work well for "Mil Spec" parts and "Long Rats".

I moved to Canada (Montreal) in 1976 for 12 years. All of my primers,powder were left in the attic at my fathers house in South Louisiana. Temp in attic 150 f to 25f. Humidity 100% most nights.
I am still using the powder and primers from that time without a single misfire.

I’ve never sealed a primer. I don’t see this as being necessary. Perhaps if you expect your reloads to be directly exposed to water, maybe then.

I’m still shooting reloads I made in 1978-1979. All reliably go bang…
