Neck size only?
It's my understanding that the rifle version only neck sizes the case. I was thinking of getting one for my Marlin in .30-30 until I remembered you are supposed to really only get away with neck sizing with bolt actions. Does this not matter as much with the .30-30's lower pressure?

Re: Neck size only?
I neck size my .308,223. I sold the .223 bolt action, but still have the .308 it seemed to agree the best to neck sizing. I am not sure I would want to with a lever action but if you do it report back to us please.

Re: Neck size only?
I neck size everything even the pump Remingtons and on cart.like 06 w/long necks I dont even size the whole neck. I leave probably .1 or so untouched as it helps accuracy a lot in 1 of the rifles . I do have to do what I would call soft FL every 3-5 loadings of full tilt loads as the shoulders get tight.
Just a Red neck,White boy, Blue blood American.....

Re: Neck size only?
If I were in your situation, I'd give the Lee Loader a try. The main reason to full length size a case for 30-30, is to insure that it will feed well. A lot of lever actions will stretch the brass and if the round has been fired in your gun and will be fired in that same gun, I'd guess that it would work. Will a case fired in your gun fully enter the chamber?
