So do any other than me enjoy binary targets?
? I am just curious I have been making my own for many years. I am sad that I never thought to market the idea. As other now have. I love the reaction from the well placed shots. I have noticed some of my light loads do not make the reaction needed like with hot .357 loads andd my rifle rounds .308 and .223. It is cheap to make compared to buying it from market. I can post recipe if it is allowed.

A fun time in the correct place that is safe except I make mine alot cheaper than paying these prices. I was not refering to binary code lol
It's what does the explosions on red jacket firearms and from american guns. needs centerfire ammo to creat the reaction.

I've never shot them. You have a recipe for making your own. I'm already using the components, I believe, in my farming operations so I would be interested in playing with it.

I would love to just have a range where you can even shoot targets other than paper.

I shoot my binary targets on my private property. I love it they are fun and when you make them your self you can find a size that is perfect for your shooting range or property. know your laws in your area. You can buy the products needed to make it on ebay or amazon generally teally cheap compared to buying them already with containers like tannerite. I then go to hobby lobby and buy my containers I prefer by volume sometimes I have to start over when they stop carring my prefered containers. I PM'd the recipe to RD so that he can decide if it should be on the site though if you google how to make binary targets you will obtain the info needed but remeber when playing with this be sure to zero scale of container weight and be precise when weighing your oxidizer in the mix the more of it the more unstable your product! I give full warning you do this at your own risk!

Thanks for the PM AK... Yeah, better take the side of caution here in posts the mix. Let the individual do the search on their own and be responsible for the outcome.

Agreed I do not want to see the site taken down over somthing like this it is an easy find for those interested and worth it if your area approves. Mainly with getting kids into shooting they go nuts over the booms from it.Ranch Dog wrote:Thanks for the PM AK... Yeah, better take the side of caution here in posts the mix. Unopened cans of cheap soda from the bargain grocery store are fun with no risk. They run less than $.15 to $.20 each and really explode if warm and shaken.
