Steve is an Australian country singer, husually his family is his band (the LEEs 
), but he also made two albums containing only songs that are connected to guns. I got both, and like most songs pretty much.
He also organizes a shooting/dirt bike riding tour through Cambodia, where parts of the above movie has been filmed. Unfortunately I never rode a dirt bike, and I don't want to slow donw the whole group, otherwise I might have taken that tour a year ago or so.

It comes from having similar ancestry and genes. A lot of my family are what used to be called "Downeasters" and live on the coat of NC. They speak two versions of English - NC redneck farmer and an English much closer to what English sailors (Working men of the sea.) speak. I can speak and understand it easily, as I grew up working down on the coat on the shrimp/oyster boats during the summer with my cousins/family.
I dated an English girl for a while, we went down there and stayed a few days. She was more of a city girl and couldn't speak or understand it, but recognized where it had come from and named the areas near the English coast where it was commonly spoken in England.
My wife, who grew up in the mountains of NC (Appalachia), could understand both forms of English I used down home and then spoke a slightly different variety that I could understand and relate to.
Looking at that young man, he could be one of my cousins when they were young.
