Could use some thoughts and prayers

Friday they took my wife to hospice. They told me that I could'nt care for her any longer ( been doing it for six years by my self broke my heart ). She's not going to come back home ( hard to type thru tears ). Thanks lost...

I cared for my Father the last 2 1/2 years of his life, so I know how hard caring for someone 24/7 can be. My Father took care of my Mother the last 4 12 years of her life and I know how heartbreaking it was for him as well. I know it doesn't feel like it right now, but now you'll be able to get some rest and sleep if you let yourself. Your wife will have some care at times when you would have been sleeping or too tired to care for her. Take comfort that when you're asleep or sick, she'll be cared for.

I also know how lonely it must feel right now. Just be aware your wife is only a short drive away and you can go visit her when you wish. Get some rest, then pick up some things you know your wife will like and take them to her as gifts, like you did when you were dating so long ago. She should appreciate them if she's able.

In the meantime, I'll pray for you that you not feel so sad and lonely. Unfortunately, it is the nature of human beings that we are often lonely at the beginning and ending of our lives. Fortunately, there is a place beyond here where we'll all meet again, so do not despair, for there, He has prepared for us a place and we'll receive a beautiful heavenly body. There, we'll meet and be together again, no matter how things turn out in this world.
