Read some info and reviews of the Howa. Cabelas has it for about $350. I am caught budget wise between this rifle or the S&W Victory 22lr pistol.
The club I belong to has 100 yd rifle and is usually chock full of shooters. The pistol section has more open benches to shoot pistol from.
I may join another club that has less rifle shooters-then I will decide. I am leaning to the Howa and will reload the .223

I really like the. 223 caliber. I load for my #3 Ruger and an older Mini 14 .
You have a nice rifle there.

Poppop - My guess is that in the future it will be easier to find a good deal on the S&W pistol than it will be to find one on the Howa mini.

I loaded a few dozen rounds tonight and intend to see if I can get a few groundhogs before the summer is over....
