Howdy Folks,
MoMan here. I found this site by way of the Rossi Rifleman site which I recently joined. I am an "Old Guy" who has been around firearms as long as I can remember. I did a little (very little) reloading about 20 or more years ago to feed an old Mauser 98 I had in .308. Back then I was using a Breech lock reloader hand press. That lasted about 6 months, and I traded that rifle for a new compound bow (wish I still had that old rifle!!). I started reloading again about 6 years ago to feed my handgun appetite. I bought a Lee Turret press kit and have been using it ever since. I see no reason to change, it serves my needs perfectly. I can load tons of ammo pretty quickly. This allows me the opportunity to shoot whenever I want because I always have "mucho" ammo loaded and ready to go. I started reloading when I still lived in Western NY, where the winters seem to go on forever. I would spend all winter loading, then shoot all summer, and repeat the process. My Son who retired from the Army a couple of years ago liked my Lee set-up so much that he bought the Lee Turret kit as well (except he has the newer one with the hole for trapping the primers when de-priming, a VERY nice upgrade!!).
I am glad to have found this site, and hopefully will be able to swap information back and forth.
