I have come across some old winchester .308 projectiles, and I was thinking of loading them for my 30.06 does someone have a load spec for 30.06 with a 190g round nose silver tip. I have plenty of data for a 190g hpbt but I am sure it is different for the rn.

Modern Reloading 2nd Edition by Richard Lee has a 190 gr jacketed listed, but it is a bit much to post the whole table. What powder are you using ? You can use the data for the HPBT, just start low and work up.

Sorry Cdenner I don't have a load for you. But talk lately about 30-06 gave me the bug. I'm taking mine out today and shoot it!

Welcome to LEE LOADER. I'm glad you found this great site.
What manual are you using that doesn't have a ton of 30/06 data?

I am using lee'so 2nd edition but I have only been loading for about a year. I haven't really experimented very much. I am using IMR 4064 powder I was wondering mostly for head spacing and oal.

What are you shooting them in?
Unless you've got a out of spec chamber or FL die head space shouldn't be a concern and you can always pick up a case gauge and check your cases and finished rounds. I have all three of Lyman's gauges and find them quite handy as I load for a variety of action type.
Make smoke,
