Let me add another inexpensive gun, the S&W 22A. I also shoot rimfire bullseye. I shoot an old Model 41 Smith. My wife shoots a Buckmark Hunter, which is also a great little gun. A couple guys I know shoot the 22A and are the only ones that come close to me for consistent shooting. You can pick one of them up new for under $300. I could buy four of them for what my 41 sells for today.

Ruger MKIV is out and it's main update is ease of take down and reassemble. I don't mind the crazy MKIII (and prior) BS as it's learned and not commonly needed.
I got mine when they were just under $300 so my price brain needs updated.
