I never gave this rifle much thought . Dad left it with me when they moved to AR so it's been just hanging around with the 97' Win, Mod 12 and a couple of others . Truth is I haven't shot any of the 22s in 5-6yr . Yesterday I was in the big town , Fallon has Walmart , Taco Bell and a Big 5 , with a 1 day only email coupon for $33 Winchester 555 packs which beats most of the prices folks have been standing in line for over the last 3-4 yrs by a long shot .

The "vintage" ammo I dug out to go shoot with it .

Nice rifle.

There's just something about ammo named Squibman :D

I have my Dads Remington Target Master. It has a peep sight just like yours. He said my Grandma got it for him using green stamps at the filling station when he was 12 years old. That would have been 1939.

Not bragging groups but rather satisfying for 50 yd off hand , standing , never shot this rifle before , 40+ yo ammo of dubious quality .

Given all the conditions, I would say that it has potential!

I ran some solvents , brushes and patches through it . Wow what a difference . At 25 yd the front sight has a 2.5" apature , looks like it shoots a little right . 4" plate 3" sticker .
