yep the scholfield is .45 scholfield centerfire originally, later repros are .45lc, a true lamat repro is cap n ball. the pietta repros are cap and ball as the phrase goes. Still an awesome piece of collocters history.

In years gone by I shot silhouette with a Contender. I have long since sold off all of my silly-wet stuff. Of course, now I'm nurturing a "need" to get back into the same equipment for varmints. My next acquisitions will likely be along those lines.

I must be in a rut .
New to me what I wouldn't give for a slightly worked over Obindorf 98,to go w/the DWM 1916.
I did get a 92 to go w/the 45 Colts RBH. So I'm pretty well done up.
Maybe double BP 12 ga.

I've been feeding the Walther addiction lately with a couple recently acquired PPs:

The first was a PP made in 1960

And the second was also a 1960 (about 3000 numbers apart) surplussed from the Federal Ministry of Justice in Vienna Austria with a "JW" (Justiz Wein) serial number on the front strap.

I also stumbled over a PPK/S clone in the form of an %@*&$ APK and I have a PP clone %@*&$ AP on the way:

They are a little beefier than their Walther counterparts, noticeably heavier and with edges that are decidedly more square, but the quality is great, they are very reliable and with slightly more generous chambers they'll eat anything - although they are a little harder on brass.

Edit: Why does F E G get turned into an "*" ?

to attempt an answer to your edit question .... F E G probably looks like a three letter grammer nanny "no-no" word that begins with "F" and ends with "G"

Now for the main topic...... wow, really NICE looking handguns. Thanks for the gunporn .... I mean pictures :D

The only "shiny" ones are the XLR. There is one on GB!
