Headstamps

I've been laid up and on crutches for about a month and this morning being bored I went out to my shop to play with my reloading stuff. I got out a gallon jug of 38 Special brass (some of it from the '70) and processed it. I cleaned and deprimed/sized them. I also glanced at the headstamps and found some interesting headstamps, other than the usual. How many have seen/experienced these?;
Merkel
Gromak
Speer/DWM
GFL
3-D
Hi-Per
Denver
TZZ
NNY (in Cerylic)
And one with no mfg designation, just "38 Special"

If the length was "ok", I'd just load them all at standard .38 spl and continue. It is just 38 spl isn't it?
Yep, they are different headstamps than I am used to seeing, but ...... it's .38 spl

I've come across the Merkel before and the NNY on .38 special brass. The others never seen.

I've seen Speer and the generic .38 Special but not the others.

Hope everything is okay mikid and wish you a speedy recovery.
Haven't seen a single one of them but I don't have any range brass for my 38 Spl.
Here is a great source for looking up headstamps:

Ron Gromak out of Santa Maria California who ran a shop making bullets and such, back in the 70's
He is most likely the manufacturer of that brass marked Gromak.

I have about 2,000-2,500, 38 Special cases that I started saving when I started reloading 38s, and I was just processing some out of boredom. I found these odd headstamps and thought I'd share. Not collectibles, just not seen too often. There were others and some were not so "rare" and I didn't mention them, like Pro-Load, Midway, and Herters. I have a bunch of Speer, but not the Speer/DWM.
I was doing a "honey-do" and got into an argument with a ladder. When coming down, my bum leg got tangled in the steps and the whole thing toppled over. I wrenched my knee in the process and went to the ER. Bicondylar fracture of the tibia and torn ligaments. Doctor says use
2 crutches and no driving, wife agrees so I aint got much to do...
Getting old is often a challenge...

So now your "knee" deep in those "I'll get around to it someday" projects.
I sure hope/pray your recovery is quick and without further complications.

Yes sir, get better quick. I've seen a good many of those, I agree, everything being
Ok with the brass, load smile, shoot smile, repeat smile
But no barn burners !!
