9x39 is coming to the usa!

This is a Russian version of the 300 blackout. I have no real interest yet, but the performance is interesting. Wolf will be making cheap ammo compared to 300 blackout I hope for even better range time with lower cost and maybe better performance. 300 black out is held back by only having expensive factory loads from the little I have seen. If you reload I think 300 blackout is fine I am looking at this at the commercial appeal of a new cartridge that ak enthusiast have been wanting for a long time. Especially for suppressed shooting.

Dang, always something else to spend money on. I wonder how long it will take for brass cases to appear?

Sounds awesome . I probably even have a mould for it . I guess if I stay after Green Mountain long enough I will score a cheap 35 cal barrel and do the SKS . 8-)

Wolf has a brass cased line called Wolf Gold. I am unaware of the quality of the brass, but most their steel ammunition they make has a gold version brass cased that's still not terrible in price. Its a long way off I bet from any major munitions makes to jump on board but this cartridge has been drooled over for near 30 years by a large group of ak gurus so it might find the steam it needs for Winchester or federal or euro munitions plants to jump on board. This round has been battle proven by spetsnaz troops. So question is will it survive the more limited market that it will be introduced into. I would like to think so, but time can only tell us the answer.
I think hand loading for it could.

What little Wolf Gold brass I've used (6.5x55mm and 7.62x54R) has been good stuff. I have some for the Schmidt Rubin but have not shot enough of it to do any reloading. It's at least as good as the Privi Partizan that I have in the same calibers.

Make smoke,

I have some Wolf gold .223Rem but it's "just in case" so I hope I never find out if the brass is good for reloading.

I think this will be a niche market caliber, but time will tell. First we need some good platforms to be built to shot it.

Heck, I was thinking of my Mini 30 being rebored & rechambered by JES! I bet he could be talked into doing it! I also bet CH4D could supply the two die set without much wait and money. If you have 7.62x39 brass, I have about 5K pieces of it, you don't need anything else.

I love the idea but don't have the funds to play yet. Just bought the S8 phone so my extra petty cash is low lol. If I come across a 9x39 rifle and initially ammo is plentiful. I will buy one as I love the idea a lot. I have yet to practice with anything close to this cartridge so it would be fun. At least I tell myself it will be LoL. I wonder how much the mini 30 would need modified to function with this caliber. I am assuming that at minimum the recoil spring would need tuned or replaced.+guns I love it Nice thinking
