Yes. It is an abyss and I think I'm sick. How many of you have LMADRL?

Translation: LoadMaster with Auto-Drum ReLoading Disorder?

I have this and several other reloading related disorders. Is there any cure?

And I'll add, it's always the same, you have a Lee product that fails to deliver and you mention it you've become a "Lee Basher"....and I say I have an RCBS Uniflow (actually I've owned many of them) and have no problems with it/them and then the action starts. "Well I've read where several folks have problems with their (brand) as well so I'm smarter and better off with the cheaper one".....okay, good for you. I think I'll not even consider another AD (Auto Drum) and just be content with what I own. I'm done with this "my Lee is better than your (whatever)......adios.

This forum is called Lee Loader. I have all colors. Some have all Lee. I don't really care who owns what as long as they contribute here.

I will have to investigate. All the talk I'd been aware of with the drums was on the auto version.

Make smoke,

Ran into a little trouble today while setting up different drums. Started getting variation when I was fine tuning my .45ACP set. The drum was not fully returning home so it was not picking up a full load for the next drop.

See photos.

Image

On the right is the mark where the drum stops on the way home. On the left is true home and can be achieved by manually rotating the drum counter-clockwise after EACH drop. This is caused by slack in the connecting rod.

You can see in the previous two pictures (measure turned over) how much play is in the base of the connecting rod. One picture has the rod biased to one end of the extreme, the other pic shows it biased the other direction. This is the cause of the rotational slack in the arm and therefore the drive gear, driven gear, and ultimately the drum. On a 6.7 grain load of AutoComp this slack is worth 0.3 grains variation.

The kit with all the plastic parts in it is $1 unless that's all you get in which case it's FREE plus $6.12 shipping. I might rather try and make a metal connecting rod.
