Thnx. I saw those a while ago, but due to a 'puter screw up (I won't admit nuttin') I lost a bunch of stuff...

Seen and read a number of these experiments. Not sure they are that accurate an indicator of primer performance but some of the pictures are impressive. To me the most important thing to look for in a primer is consistency. That can only be judged IMHO by shooting a lot of identical loads. I used to use Federal Small Pistol #100 for my 9mm shooting. None ever failed to go bang but when fired over a chronograph in my IPSC load they had a higher extreme spread. I tried CCI Small Pistol #500 and while the SD's were comparable the extreme spread was smaller. Just my own results which really prove nothing but for that load in my pistol t5he CCI's work best.

I don't know . I do know that in one rifle I had I closed groups from 8" to 3×5 with a switch from Win LRP which I shouldn't have been using in the first place to CCI 300s . Don't ask just know I was young and stupid .... I'm older now .
