Got an 8x57 that needs to become a 8mm-06 or maybe a 8mm-06AI
Anyone suggest a place to rent a Reamer?
Thanks!

Re: Chamber Ream Rental
4D reamer rental .
Pretty easy to do . Call or Net . With a card it's a $30 charge 1 time for a 7 day rental . They are pretty rigid on the time line but understanding about mail service . The 7 days starts with their tracking delivery notice minus 12 hr or plus I guess . If it shows delivered at 0900 , the clock starts at 2100 .
There's no hold charge made but if it is damaged by use or not returned they charge $135 .
If you do it by check it takes 2 for fees as described above . Upon receipt of the reamer in good order the big check is returned unless damaged .
They stock mostly PTG solid pilot type and have go-no/go gauges that are like $15 .

Re: Chamber Ream Rental
on 4D. I have used them several times, never a problem, never a bad tool.
I know a lot of folks say they have had trouble with them, I never have.
Don't know how much experience you have, but reminders never hurt.
Go slow, go easy & check often. Best of luck, keep us posted.

Re: Chamber Ream Rental
I've used 4D a number of times, but the last several have been through reamerrentals.com. I tried them because I wanted to use a floating pilot and the pilot diameter selection is huge. They also had small things like honing oil.
