45 acp brass on progressives must be sorted very well if you are using range pickup or once fired brass. I resize all my small primer 45 acp brass into 400 corbon so I don't have to worry about it. Factory 400 corbon brass is all small primer anyway.

As to mixed primers 45 ACP and maybe some 40 S&W I think most others are 1 or the other . As far as rifle cartridges go 6.8 Rem is the only 1 I know of that has brass made for both ,sorting by headstamp will generally keep those straight though. (Hornady and Federal made cases both ways in 6.8 but I think new production ,like the last 10yr are all SRP, Rem and S&B are all LRP).

The 7.62x39 Russian can use either a large or small rifle primer. Of the brass available in the US; Federal, Remington, and Winchester, Remington uses the small rifle primer pocket so I avoid it.
