Just a Smith boy from Michigan...

Hello!
I am a retired elementary school teacher for 10 years now, and I had always planned to get a CPL but never did. Well, last summer I watched our country being torn up by crazy people, and I decided it was time to get off the dime. During the summer months I looked for pistols, ammo, and a firearms class...it took a few months, but I now indeed have a CPL, a 38 snubby, a 9mm, a 22 revolver, and I even found some low-recoil buckshot loads for an old pistol-grip shotgun I already had for enhanced home defense. I was even able to buy some of the last few boxes of non-jacked-up-prices pistol ammo I could find, and started practicing.
I just recently began reloading, and I currently have a Lee Hand Press (a really neat little gadget), a Lee Perfect Powder Measure, some Lee carbide 38 dies, and I have the Lee 9mm carbide dies on backorder. I found some Titegroup and Accurate #2 powder, some 38 SWCs, and a box of Hi-Tek coated 9mm RNs. And in a really "lucky" turn of events, I even found 2 boxes of Federal Magnum Small Pistol Primers for a mere $120 per 1000 count box +HAZ fees!!! What is the world coming to? At any rate, I am ready to Rock 'n Load!
I am also a guitar player/singer, and I perform mostly for seniors at assisted living communities and the like...or at least I did until COVID put me on hold for a time. It's nice to be part of this Lee forum, and I look forward to all of you professionals helping this rookie learn how to shoot straight and reload. Thanks...
