I just love this Alaskan Woman... she cleans fish, catches them, loves to shoot, has her own reloading stuff, and casts as well.... I have lost count on how many Guns she has, but she got a new one for Mothers Day... the weather was really Warm, almost 70F here very unusual, and she went out to Play with her new Toy, a Remington 870 tactical smooth bore Pump, loaded with lee Key Drive Slugs, and lee Buckshot 00... That Gun and My wife are Terminal.... What a Lucky Man I am.. +guns

That is too cool having a Wife that takes part in reloading as most don't. Was she born and raised in Alaska?

Beautiful woman, loves to shoot, reload and cast, fishing... hunting too?

No matter what, she deserves bigger diamonds!

I wish my girlfriend would at least let me be worth my hobbies instead of complaining all the time.

the one thing I notice missing from those great pictures is Fireweed. Other than solid ice, I didn't know there was a square yard of Alaskan soil that didn't have fireweed :D . Seems there's a whole lot of edible plant life up there too.

Oh man... Dont get me started on edible foods around here.... Tons of fireweed, but right here is cordova are some of the very best mushroom picking areas in the entire state.... Willow grows everywhere, blueberry, salmon berry, wild strawberry, nangoon berry, low bush cranberry, watermelon berries, crud... When it is harvest time for anything, it is a flood of wonderful different wild foods.... And the fish... Clams, crabs, and need I go on... Everything has its season... And we harvest... Cant get everything all the time like the lower 48 folks do, but when things are in season, there is a great bounty....

I consider myself a mushroom head, and have studied the local botany extensively.... It is one of our family's favorite thing to play with, and we do it as a family.. Last season, we processed about 60 gallons of mushrooms for drying, not to mention how many we brought home and ate fresh.... Enough to last us until they show up again this summer.... Its like a mushroom supermarket here, and i use a gps map on my ipad to mark what grows where so we can go right to a particular type that we are seeking....
