Oh no you don't get off that easy! I expect you to follow thru on your suggestion. Besides all the gunsmithing you're already doing for me.larryw wrote:Sweet, now we're gettin somewhere...

Re: Case holder ? 3D printed?
Durn your hide daboone (and others), you always cost me time and money! I don't know how long I've looked for something to fill your needs, but I might have found it.
It is the Neck Turning Universal Handle offered by 21st Century Shooting/Reloading; I bought one to give it a try ($25 shipped). The site indicates it is good for the 17 Fireball which has a web diameter of .377". The Fireball has a base to shoulder length of 1.065", and from the image on the website of the Fireball (not the image above), there is a lot of cartridge sticking out of the tool. I would speculate that the diameter of the tool body is about .4". I'm going to bet, with cartridge drawings compared, it will fill our needs for a case like 9mm Luger. If it doesn't, I still hold a lot of rifle cases each year.
When I found the picture on Google, I thought that it might be rather slow getting on and off the case, but the website states "The spring loaded feature makes the clamping and unclamping of the case much easier..." I believe it is worth a try.

Well your not the first person that have wanted to do more than that to my hide!
So far the dowel and rubber band is helping but it's not close to perfect or fast enough. Thanks for doing the research and please Please PLEASE do a review when it arrives.
